Why MacMap® rather than another software programme ?

We don't use MacMap® on its own but as an interface between Geographic Databases and the MacOS™ environment Professional Edition Chain (Print or Web). It's complementary to the other software programmes we use, because the Advanced Edition functions in MacMap® do not have an equivalent in other GIS's.

Why is MacMap® more interesting in your specific sector ?

The way it adds value to the Professional Edition Chain without losing the link with the data (high performance update chain), the way it prepares RIP bases and Vector bases using cartographic extranets (web interface).

Is MacMap® easy to access ?

Yes through the interface and with normal SIG usage.

Why MacMap® rather than another software programme ?

MacMap® is a very user friendly software programme. It is much easier to use than other, similar programmes. With MacMap®, we are in the Mac universe so we have an instinctive understanding of how it works. That saves us a lot of time going back and forth between the screen and what can sometimes be difficult and confusing instructions!

Why MacMap® rather than another software programme ?

It is the only serious software programme of its kind using the Macintosh environment. However, its import and export possibilities in the market's other main GIS system formats means that we are not limited to just one operating system

Why is MacMap® more interesting in your specific sector ?

MacMap® offers exploratory analysis tools for both data (analysing statistics and matrixes) and geographic information systems, which provides most of the data processing necessary to assist Management and Management Consultants in their decision making process. As far as cartography is concerned, it has all the possible functions and the PDF format patterns offer total creative liberty.

Is MacMap® easy to access ?

MacMap® benefits from the user friendliness of the Macintosh operating system. Although it's easy to use, to get the full benefit, it's better to have some GIS training and experience.
